Why? - Here's an example of how YouTube embeds YouTube Music playlists. It's abysmal! After switching from Spotify to YouTube Music, this felt like a major oversight on YouTube's part. Hopefully this serves as a worthwhile alternative.
About - this thing was created by Michael Eades of yk Records and yk World, a record label and podcast respectively. I've been making Internet things since the late 90s, this just seemed like fun.
Missing Playlist Artwork - did you add custom artwork to your playlist? YouTube Music does not make it available via API. Sorry!
You can append your own custom artwork by appending an artwork query param that points to an image. Use a full URL.
Missing X Feature - plenty of room for improvement here but it's a good first version. Drop me a line on Bluesky if you have a feature request.
